Grade 1 and 2 had two special visitors to learn more about the ribbon skirt. Elder Lorraine Albert shared with our students about her experiences making and the cultural significance of ribbon skirts. She also shared a little about the history of the fur trade, and students got to handle some furs. Students also made ribbon skirts and shirt pins.
