Board of Trustee Meeting Spotlight on Students March 22nd 2023
Spotlight on Students is an opportunity for students to present to the Board of Trustees some of the great things that are happening in our schools. Christian School students were able to present twice as our friends at Timberlea highlighted the Multi-Sports Program in which the Christian School is a part of as well.
A huge thank you to Ms. Polegato and Mrs. Jackman for their work in preparing the programs, students, and the presentations - they are so greatly appreciated!

Timberlea School and Fort McMurray Christian School - Morning Multi-Sports Program
Timberlea School and Fort McMurray Christian School students presented to the Board their Morning Multi-Sports Program that is held before school starts each morning. The students highlighted how this unique programming not only hones athletic abilities but also empowers character growth through leadership development - an exciting chance to start strong before school begins!
Fort McMurray Christian School - World Water Day
In celebration of World Water Day, Fort McMurray Christian School students made an impact by presenting facts about the day to the Board. Not only did they creatively create individualized information brochures about the event, but their efforts also enabled them to raise a staggering $11,000 towards building water wells in Africa over the past four years! The presentation was powerful and eye-opening as it highlighted that not everyone has access to clean drinking water; with 1 billion people worldwide facing this hardship, they presented ideas to conserve water.
