Gr. 3 Teacher

Phone: 780-743-1079

My name is Audian Howell-Denton, a Jamaican teacher who has been in the profession since 2000. I have worked with children from kindergarten through to Grade 4, as well as with adult learners. In 2022, my husband and I moved to Alberta with our two daughters, who are both students at FMCS.

My faith has been a guiding influence in my life since 2004, and I hold close to my life the scripture, Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This truth shapes both my personal journey and my approach to teaching.

Last year, I had the joy of teaching Grade 3 at FMCS, an experience that was both fulfilling and inspiring. I am excited to continue with this group of students, walking alongside them in their learning while creating an atmosphere where they can grow, explore, and have fun.

I believe that every child is capable of learning and thriving when encouraged with care and patience. With great enthusiasm, I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, discovery, and growth with my students.

Looking forward to an adventurous year!

Division Notice

ATA Strike Commencing on Monday; School Closures Starting Oct 6th

As a result of the Alberta Teachers Association (ATA) rejecting a proposed deal from the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA), all FMPSD schools will be closed to students starting Monday, October 6, 2025, unless a new agreement is reached or strike action is otherwise averted. Additionally, all yellow school bus routes will be suspended for the duration of the strike.

In light of the ongoing strike, all extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, and after-school programs, will be temporarily suspended.

As there is no definitive end date for the strike, FMPSD is unable to provide a timeline for when normal operations will resume. We will continue to provide timely updates as we receive them from the Ministry of Education and Child Care.
