Audian Howell-Denton
My name is Audian Howell-Denton, a Jamaican teacher who moved to Alberta with my
husband Garfield, and daughters Danielle and Danique in 2022. I have been married for 17 years and enjoy art, music, cooking and sewing. My Christian journey began in high school at age 14, and I have no regrets.
I obtained my Teaching Diploma (Early Childhood Education) at the Shortwood Teacher’s
College in 2000, then started my journey as a teacher. Six years later, I completed my
Bachelor in Education (Early Childhood Education) at the University of the West Indies
(Mona) and continued the journey. I have had the opportunity of teaching at several Primary (Elementary) schools at Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, Kindergarten level (ages 3 & 5) and at the Vocational Training level, where I taught adults.
Here at Fort McMurray Christian School, I begin a new chapter and continue my teaching
journey. I am grateful to God for all the lives He allowed me to touch, and those I will be
helping to mould in this new culture and setting. My motivation comes from Philippians 4:13 which declares, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I am excited to begin this journey!
