Mrs. O’Keefe, formerly Miss Wiebe, was born and raised in small town Saskatchewan. She asked Jesus into her heart at the tender age of 5 in the backseat of the family car with her parents. She has been involved in children’s ministry since age 12 in the church nursery and toddler rooms. Mrs. O’Keefe earned her teaching degree at the University of Alberta and has taught in the Fort McMurray area for the past 17 years, including 1.5 years as Director of Family and Children Ministries at Family Christian Centre. While teaching, she completed her Certificate of Children’s Ministry through Vanguard College. She married her favourite Newfoundlander and became a mum to their son 3 years ago. Mrs. O’Keefe loves teaching and learning, the beach, the arts, cooking and baking, crafting, listening to audio books, gardening, cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Oilers, fishing, and travelling – especially to see her family or experience sunshine and flip flops in a new place!
